What we offer
A DEXA scan uses low-dose X-rays to measure bone density and muscle mass. It is commonly used to assess osteoporosis risk, monitor bone health and support fracture-risk assessment.
• Clinically appropriate bone-health assessment.
• A quick, non-invasive scan without injections or enclosed scanning tunnels.
• Results interpreted alongside age, sex, risk factors, fracture history, medicines and other relevant information.
Why choose this service
• Osteoporosis assessment
• Monitoring low bone density or previous osteopenia/osteoporosis
• Assessment after fragility fracture or significant risk factors
• Bone-health review with long-term steroid use or early menopause
• Repeat assessment requested by a clinician
Before you book
• Provide the reason for the scan and previous DEXA results where available.
• Bring or upload referral details if a clinician requested the scan.
